Here are some additional pieces of information related to dogs and cats that were in the Krum kennels long enough to be taken to Denton.
Denton pulled the records for all of 2011 so we can know what happened to Krum’s cats and dogs.
The records come in two parts — intake, so we can see that it’s often Officer Hargis that is bringing the animals to Denton (typically a 45-minute chore, based on my review of police department reports). Then, disposition. The news isn’t all bad. Denton volunteers work hard to place all the animals they can.Capt. Scott Fletcher said he was fairly certain that Denton has not had to euthanize an adoptable animal in about two years.
