Yes, you are.
Denton’s drinking water supply is downstream, at Lewisville Lake, something both city employees and volunteers think about when they pull trash, and tires, and — recently, a hot tub — from creek beds around the city.
The city is holding a “stakeholder meeting” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the North Branch Library (3020 N. Locust St.) to explain how they try to help keep our watershed clean, which includes monthly testing at more than 90 sites around the city.
They’ll give shout-outs to some particularly hard-working volunteers who help keep an eye on area creeks and streams.
And they are always looking for more volunteers.
