Marcus Pierce, Place 4 trustee on the Aubrey school board, is seeking another three-year term.
Pierce, who has served on the school board since 2007, filed paperwork to run in the May 11 election in Aubrey earlier today.
Jim Milacek, the Place 5 incumbent, filed an application to run for re-election, Feb. 5.
Candidate filing continues through March 1.
Individuals wishing to file and run in the upcoming Aubrey school board election, May 11, may pick up a packet at the district’s administration building, located at 415 Tisdell Lane in Aubrey.

Pilot Point ISD Place 3 trustee seeks re-election
Pat Burns is seeking another term on the Pilot Point school board.
The Place 3 trustee filed an application to run for his second term last week. Burns has served on the school board since 2010.
In addition to the Place 3 seat, the Place 4 term is also up for election May 11.
Candidate filing for the election continues through March 1.
Those wishing to file and run in the upcoming Pilot Point school board election can pick up a packet at the district’s administration building, located at 829 S. Harrison St. in Pilot Point.
Individuals wishing to vote in the May 11 election must register by April 11.
Aubrey ISD Place 5 incumbent files to run for re-election
Jim Milacek, the incumbent for the Place 5 seat on the Aubrey school board, has filed paperwork to run for re-election.
Milacek has served on the board since 2004.
The terms for two school board seats –Place 4 and 5 — in Aubrey are up for election, May 11.
Candidate filing for the May election continues through March 1.
Individuals wishing to vote in the May 11 election must register by April 11.
